The Media Park is where what you see daily in the media is conceived and created. So it’s no wonder that the park has exceptional appeal for young and old. It’s an almost magical and mysterious place. The place where the broadcasters, such as BNN/VARA, NOS and RTL, and Talpa, come up with their television programming and, of course, where those immense studios are found. Where the TV shows come alive and popular shows are recorded. Shows like The Voice of Holland, Voetbal Inside, Spuiten en Slikken, with audiences numbering in the hundreds and occasionally as many as a thousand. Dozens of cameras, blinding lights, kilometres of cables and huge set props. The workplace of well-known presenters such as Giel, Frank and Sander of 3FM, and Johan Derksen of RTL.
For a number of years now it’s been possible to have a look around the park and in the studios. You can experience what it’s like to make TV or be in front of the camera. With a visit to a TV programme recording session in one of the studios, the Hillywood tour, a Day Working in Television, and the famous Institute for Sound and Vision you’ll experience a fantastic day of media immersion. And, who knows, you might even encounter your favourite TV personality.
